One of the first things I did when I started at my current library was be all appalled that they didn’t own this book and force each branch to buy a gazillion. I agree - this might just be my favorite ever as well.

Oh god, you just made my sentimental heart weep. This was my favorite book in the world, and I haven’t so much as laid eyes on it in decades. Spoiler Alert: The monster at the end of the book is…Grover!

Let it be said that my sister owns this. Also possibly a copy in Spanish. She has the largest collection of Grover books you will ever see, and it’s hilarious when she pulls them all out to take inventory.
